Face of the Day (FOTD) - Natural Everyday Look

I have always been a lover of makeup and have always worn a lot of it; this often got me in trouble at my 'no makeup policy' school. Working in a cosmetics store while I was at school didn't exactly help me 'tone it down' either.

My preferred makup style has always been full coverage. My favourite foundations over the years have been Revlon Colorstay, Mac Studio Sculpt, Napoleon Stick Foundation, Naploleon China Doll, Mary Kay full coverage and Mary Kay Mineral Foundation.

It actually took me a while to get onto the 'BB cream' bandwagon but when I tried the Bobby Brown BB cream that my mum was using, I was pleasantly surprised. The cream / foundation had a full coverage but felt like I was just wearing a moisturizer. This was great, especially in the middle of the summer when my face was crying out for me to let it breathe.

One day while I was in the drugstore I cam across Garnier's BB cream and thought I would give it a try. I found the coverage wasn't as good as Bobby Brown, but I found that I was ab;e to layer it to get a nice even coverage. It looked really natural and once again I was pleasantly surprised. I was also surprised at how much I liked the natural look and for once, I was happy to tone it down (my old school principal will be pleased!)

My Garnier BB cream has become my day to day foundation and I decided for my first FOTD post I will do my natural everyday look, which is also featured in my profile picture. I am really happy with this look. I now have the application down pat and can 'slap it on' quickly if I am rushing, which lets be honest, is most days!

Here is what I use when creating my everyday look...

Base - Garnier BB cream
Concealer - Napoleon Pro Palette Concealer (goodbye nasty dark under eyes)
Powder - Napoleon Camera Finish (light application to set BB)
Blush - Mac Sheertone blush in 'pinch me'
Eyeshadow - Maybelline Neutral Quad
Brows & Liner - Masquerade cake eyeliner in 'blk/brown'
Mascara - Maybelline 'Falsies'
Lipstick - Unfortunately the lippy I used is discontinued but the colour is a dusty pink.
Lipgloss - LUSH 'the kiss' lipgloss

I look forward to trying more BB creams out there and seeing what they have to offer. Leave me comment with your favourite BB creams...
