Earlier this year I was in need of a dry shampoo because lets face it, I hate the whole washing & drying hair process but love fresh, clean and voluminous hair! Dry shampoo extends my wash and I can have fresh looking hair for 2-3 days instead of 1-2.  I didn’t spend anytime in researching or deciding what dry shampoo I wanted, I just grabbed the first one I saw on the shelf…. Tresemme.

I was expecting this dry shampoo to be good as I like other Tresemme products but when I got home excited to use it I found it was actually HORRIBLE!! It definitely didn’t make my hair feel fresh, clean and voluminous! I don’t even know how to describe how it felt but I can say it wasn’t nice and the white spray didn’t blend out on my dark brown hair. It just stayed white and gross! Definitely not a fan! I actually chucked it straight into my ‘empties box’ because I knew I wasn’t going to use it again. Admittedly I did pull it out again when I needed dry shampoo and thought I would give it another try, but I regretted it as soon as I sprayed it. It doesn’t extend your wash, in fact it actually made me want to wash my hair. On a positive note, it smelt good. Not that that helps with the 'fresh start' much!

So I kind of gave up on dry shampoo and thought I would just wait until I got back to Australia and use what I know and love. But while in Walgreens one day I noticed Instant Spray Shampoo by PSSSSSST and I remembered that I had seen someone mention this on youtube (I can’t even remember who sorry, maybe Ingrid…) and thought I would give it a go. It was on sale so not much to loose. I am happy to say I am so glad I tried this one out because is so much better!! It actually does what it is suppose to do and feels nice in my hair. It lasts in my hair and adds the volume that I have been wanting.

It does spray on white but it does brush through, sometimes I have found it takes a bit more effort to brush it through to not show white but it does still dull dark hair a little bit. Otherwise this dry shampoo is awesome and I get an extra couple of days out of my wash.

This is about $6 to purchase and yes, it does smell good! I highly recommend this dry shampoo to anyone looking for a cheap but good dry shampoo and I would suggest staying clear of the Tresemme one as unfortunately it's just not very good!

Leave me a comment to let me know what your favourite dry shampoo is.
