PRODUCT REVIEW: Hurraw! Lip Balms

Oh 'Hurraw!' there!

Today I am really excited to be bringing to you some fabulous lip balms!! I haven't been using these lip balms for too long (only about a week) but they have quickly become my favourite and are, in my opinion, a must have!!

WHAT ARE HURRAW! LIP BALMS?:

Hurraw! lip balms are all natural, vegan, made from premium raw, organic and fair trade ingredients!

'Hurraw! Criteria:

Super smooth, not draggy, not sticky, not sweet, not too glossy, not too smelly, never grainy, long lasting;

plus, it had to hold up to being in a back jeans pocket all day without melting!
It took us several obsessed years to formulate Hurraw! Balm and put it through all the rigors.
We love it, use it, and hope you do too.'

SOME OF THE THINGS I LOVE ABOUT HAURRAW! LIP BALMS:

  • No actual flavour (only a delicious scent) and no after taste.
  • There are so many different scents! A lot of them are unheard of scents for a lip balm which, I think, makes them pretty appealing. All the scents are extremely accurate to their description without being overpowering at all.
  • The night balm is thicker than the normal balms so it lasts longer through the night and is super nourishing and repairing.
  • The packaging is oval which I actually really like as they are easy to slide into tight pockets, my wallet or a small clutch, and also they won't roll of my desk!
  • Balms do not melt easily which is awesome for this hot Aussie weather that is hanging around at the moment.
  •  Excellent quality and so well priced. Given how good these are, I would actually pay more for them (but glad I don't have to).
  • They are all long lasting and I can get away with a few hours without reapplying - if you can last that long! I just love using them! Ha!

THE BALMS THAT I HAVE TRIED:

Night treatment balm - Blue Camomile Vanilla Moon Balm:
I wasn't the biggest fan when I first smelt it but it did grow on me. I love how this glides on thick and creamy and lasts all night without feeling thick or waxy. In the morning I woke up to lovely supple and soft lips. It felt like it sunk in stayed on the lips all night. This stuff is so soothing and moisturising.

Chai Spice Lip Balm:
Yummmm!!! Anyone who knows me well will know that I love my chai lattes so this was first in the shopping cart for me! I am very pleased with this balm, it smells exactly like a delicious (proper) chai - I LOVE it!

Lime Lip Balm:
This balm smells exactly like fresh lime juice. It is super zesty and fresh!

Vanilla Bean Lip Balm:
This smells a bit like vanilla ice cream. It has a really nice warm neutral scent, I think this would be a flavour that everyone would like.
Coconut Lip Balm:
Summer in a stick! If I close my eyes I can pretend I am on an exotic beach drinking from a coconut. This scent is truly heavenly and I understand why this is one of the most popular.

Coconut mint lemongrass pita balm: (A 'pita balm' is an infusion of amalaki fruit)
Lemongrass is definitely most dominant. Smells a bit like a day spa. I don't feel like I love this scent,  because it's just not really me, but others that I have shown it to have loved it. I seem to favour the more neural scents.

SO, WHAT SCENT IS MY FAVOURITE?
I will use one and think, "ok yep this one is my favourite" but then I pick up the next and think, "oh no this is my favourite!" It's so hard to choose. They are all really lovely. They are all just as nourishing as each other so it really just comes down to what scent you would think you would like. If I had to pick 3 (because I couldn't just pick one or two) I would definitely pick the night balm because I love how creamy and nourishing it is! Then the Vanilla and Coconut! They are so divine and I really do like them all!!

SO, HOW MUCH AND WHERE CAN YOU GET THEM?

The balms are made in the USA so may be a little hard to find in Australia - but don't worry I have you sorted!! I ordered mine from 'iHerb' and they arrived in just 4 days!! As you will see on the site the balms are $3.37USD each (bargain) and because I am awesome I have a discount code for you to get up to $10 off your order. Use the code CZV796.

You may also get lucky and find them at random health food stores. I had just recommended these to a friend when she came across them at a health food store. She paid $6 each though.

Have you tried any of the Hurraw! Balms? If so what ones? and did you love it as much as I did?
