INTRODUCING NILLY + BOOTH

I have found a gorgeous new brand of skincare to try out so I just had to share it with you. NILLY + BOOTH is a range of handmade organic skincare created in Melbourne by Sharn who began her journey after deciding to cut out all the nasty chemicals found in many beauty products. To read more about NILLY & BOOTH & Sharn's journey click here.

Before even looking at the products themselves you can see from the website that there is so much love and passion that has gone into this brand. That's what really drew me in. Sharn's descriptions don't just tell you about they product, they also tell you why and how. While I have been very focused on skincare lately I didn't understand all the nitty grittys of ingredients, but reading through the NILLY & BOOTH website I feel like I have gained good knowledge. I am so much more interested in trying to add more natural products into my skincare routine and cut out some of the nasties as well.

Here are the products that I am trying out:

Soy Chai Organic Soap*

I've been drinking Chai Latte's since I was 14 so of course just the smell gets me excited! A whiff of this gorgeous soap does not disappoint.  This soap is actually in my current giveaway so make sure you head over to my instagram (@lifewithlucee) for more information on how to enter.

Grapefruit Bergamot Organic Cleansing Balm*

I was so intrigued by this product. Having oily skin I was initially scared to try this product but after sharing my skin concern of large pores with Sharn she assured me that I should give the cleansing balm a try. If you have a read below, Sharn explains that oil dissolves oil which is something I have never really thought about before. I am really excited to see how I go with this product.

Organic cleansing balm purifies and balances while penetrating the pores to deeply cleanse the skin. Made with a special blend of oils, butters, and essential oils to dissolve dirt, makeup, and daily oil and toxin buildup.

Best used for deep nighttime cleansing.

Based on the ancient tradition of oil cleansing this balm will soothe, tone and hydrate while it cleanses, without stripping the skin.

Oil Cleansing Method: Why the NILLY+BOOTH cleansing balm?
Cleansing your face with oil is about getting back to basics, helping our skin do what it does best.  Our face naturally produces and lubricates itself with oil.  Despite what the multi-billion dollar cosmetic companies tell us ... oil is not the enemy.  Oil alone will not bring you blemishes, these are a result of several different causes including hormones, bacteria, dead skin cells and the build-up of these factors.

Basic science tells us that like dissolves like, therefore ... oil dissolves oil.
The basic concept of this cleansing method is that the oil massaged into your skin will dissolve the oil that has hardened with impurities and found itself stuck in your pores. Following this, steaming your face will open your pores, allowing the oil to be easily removed.

Give your skin time to adjust to being clean and clear of blockages.  You may find your skin will go through a period of purging it’s impurities, just be patient, as this will balance itself out.

DIRECTIONS: Massage a small amount into dry skin for 1-2 mins. Hold a hot washcloth over face to steam and open pores. After cloth cools rinse again with hot water and gently wipe away balm and makeup. Repeat as needed. Follow with organic face tonic and serum.

Ingredients: *Castor Oil, *Shea Butter, *Hazelnut Oil, *Beeswax, *Jojoba Oil, *Grapeseed Oil, *Sesame Oil, *Sunflower Oil, Black Cumin Oil, *Sea Buckthorn Oil, Pomegranate Oil, Natural Vitamin E Oil, Essential Oils   *certified organic ingredient

Rooibos Black Willow Organic Face Tonic*

Of course another product that promises to minimise pores has made itself into my bathroom. How could I go past this though? I love spray on face tonics and how fresh the feel on the skin. The description of this product ticks all the boxes for me and sounds like it's going to be great for my skin.

Infused with purifying and exfoliating botanicals this face tonic decongests and tones the skin, minimises pores and balances the skins natural pH to prepare it for hydration.

A revitalising skin tonic for use after cleansing or for a refreshing skin pick me up throughout the day.
Dissolves dead skin cells and removes impurities while balancing sebum production.

Shake gently before each use. Mist 3-4 pumps over face and neck after cleansing or alternatively onto a cotton pad to swipe over face. Follow with organic face serum.

Ingredients:  *Tea Tree Hydrosol, *Lemon Myrtle Hydrosol, *Grapefruit Hydrosol, *Witch Hazel Extract, *Sandalwood Hydrosol, *Raw Apple Cider Vinegar (with the ‘Mother’), *Rooibos Extract, *Black Willow Bark Extract, *Kiwi Extract, *Gotu Kola Extract, *Apple Extract

Avocado Rosehip Organic Eye Balm*

Now that I am heading towards mid twenties, an eye cream is something I have been meaning to invest in for a while. I am hoping that using this balm is going to really hydrate my under eye area and brighten it up naturally so I don't have to rely on concealer as much to cover it up.

Hydrating plant and super fruit oils nourish, soothe and tone the eye area.

Naturally rich in antioxidants and vitamin E to regenerate the skin and reduce fine lines.

+ Avocado Oil is a rich and extremely deep penetrating oil, rich in vitamins A, D and E, lecithin, as well as potassium - known as the youth mineral. This oil stimulates the production of collagen while deeply moisturising the layers of the skin, thereby, improving the softness and elasticity of the skin and reducing it’s dryness.

+  Rosehip Oil extracted from the seeds of a wild rose bush in the southern Andes, is full of vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids that are known to correct dark spots and hydrate dry, itchy skin, all while reducing scars and fine lines. It also helps to stimulate cell regeneration to combat wrinkles, sun damage and uneven skin tone.

Superfruit Oils provide potent antioxidants, fatty acids, and phytosterols to nourish and protect the skin, while helping to repair skin damage and the signs of ageing.

Essential Oil blend contains 9 essentials, specifically chosen to soothe, moisturise, regenerate, even skin tone, and provide anti-ageing effects, all while being gentle on the skin. Essentials of: helichrysum, carrot seed, frankincense, geranium, thyme, sandalwood, neroli, myrrh, and clary sage.
Apply sparingly with a clean dry finger to the outer corner and under eye area by gently pressing into skin.

I can't wait to get stuck into using these products and hopefully reap the rewards of spoiling my skin with beautiful natural ingredients. Once I have been using these products for a decent time I will definitely post a review but for now I just wanted to introduce you to this brand because I really think it's worth having a look at.

Don't forget to check out the gorgeous website.
