CURRENT SKINCARE ROUTINE | MORNING

While I've always been a massive makeup junkie, it has become my goal this year to become a somewhat skincare junkie and put some more effort into looking after my skin rather than just covering it up.

I have been doing well with a regular skincare routine and after months of trying products I finally confident that I can share and review these products with you.

While I know some people may go all out with skincare in the mornings I am just not one of those people. I am a 'five more minutes' in bed type of person so I like to keep my morning skincare nice and simple and put more focus in at night.

I keep my morning routine at a maximum of 5 quick steps. Anything more and I am probably going to get too lazy and not keep it up.

1. Cleanse | Purity 3-in-1 Cleanser by Philosophy

In my opinion, this cleanser is the perfect start to anyone's morning. It is just a perfect, gentle cleanser that doesn't have any fancy promises to do anything other than what it's suppose to do; cleanse your face.

'A best-selling cleansing emulsion that gently yet effectively dissolves makeup, dirt, oil and other impurities on the skin.'

I have been using this cleanser for about 3 or so months now and I have honestly been loving it. While this cleanser does act as a makeup remover, I use it in the mornings when I obviously don't have any makeup on. But it does a wonderful job of removing any dirt or oil that has transferred onto my face overnight.

I use this cleanser every single morning with my Clarisonic Aria and find that these two are the perfect pair. Due to the Clarisonic having such a fast action it really helps to foam up cleansers, but with some cleansers I have found that they foam way to much. However, Philosophy Purity seems to foam up just the right amount with the Clarisonic.

Because this cleanser is so nice and gentle it is good for all skin types and I was so confident that anyone who tried this would love it that I put it into my most recent Instagram giveaway.

2. Scrub | Sukin Revitalising Facial Scrub

Scrubbing my face is not something I do everyday. Depending on my skin at the time I like to it every second or third day.

Given I use my clarisonic daily my skin is already getting a nice scrub / brush so I don't want to overdo it. However I do like to add in this gentle facial scrub for a little extra radiance on my skin.

Sukin is an Australian Natural Skincare range that is really inexpensive yet has some absolutely beautiful products. This scrub being one of them.

'This gentle cleanser uses non-abrasive, mirco particles of bamboo extract and ground walnut shells to remove dirt and impurities leaving clean, radiant skin. Aloe vera and chamomile work to soothe skin and rose hop, jojoba and sesame replenish and protect the skin's moisture barrier.'

I like to massage this scrub into my skin in circular motions focusing on my t-zone area as well as around the side of my nose and eyebrows where I get random bits of dry skin. I also like to really scrub this into my lips to help remove any dry skin.

The natural ingredients in this product really give it that 'day spa smell' which I LOVE! I find it helps me feel relaxed which is always a nice thing in the mornings.

3. Tone | Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner

This toner is my most repurchased skin product and also the product I have used for the longest amount of time. I first purchased Demalogica products in 2012 and while I repurchased and used their cleasner, toner & moisturiser trio for at least 2 years, it has been the toner that has outlasted the others and been my favourite.

This toner is definitely a great morning 'wake me up'. A spritz of this is so refreshing. I love that this toner is absorbed by my skin so quickly and my skin always feels so refreshed after using it.

My skin always feels really clean after using this but not that dry squeaking clean... It is extremely hydrating which is probably the reason I have loved it so much.

'This ultra-light toner with moisture-binding humectants helps condition and prep skin for proper moisture absorption. Arnica and Cucumber extracts help keep skin smooth and refreshed, making it ideal for rehydrating skin after air travel.'

Although I have loved this toner a lot I am not sure that I will repurchase straight away. The Philosophy Purity Cleanser does act as a 3-in-1 which includes toner so I will probably see how I go without it for a little while.

4. Moisturise | Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturiser

I have tried a few different mositurisers lately and I always end up back here! Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturiser has just been 'the bee's knees' for me.

I love that this moisturiser is just so light and simple. Others that I have tried recently have just been too heavy for day time wear. While a heavy moisturiser may be great for dry skin I find that in the day time I need something light especially given I am about to be putting makeup on top of it.

'Our Replenishing Rich Moisturiser with UV filters is a perfect blend of ingredients to help keep your skin replenished and nourished all day long. Perfect for even sensitive skin.'

Having combination skin, it is always a concern that my skin may end up feeling oily after moisturising and I am happy to report that this is not the case with Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturiser. This product dries quickly and leaves my skin feeling silky and smooth.

5. Target | Bioderma Sebium Pore Refiner

The final step in my morning skincare routine is the Bioderma Sebium Pore Refiner.

My skincare routine would never be complete without something that targets pores. Large pores is my number one skin concern so I am always on the look for products that are 'corrective care for englared pores'.

'A dermatological correcting treatment that tightens dilated pores and improves skin texture'
I picked up this pore refiner at the Priceline 40% off skincare sale earlier this year and it has been a must have skincare product for me ever since. The pore refiner is a beautifully light formula that blends out on the skin really easily. The product sinks in to fill pores and mattify the skin.

Over the period that I have been using this product I have noticed that my pores appear smaller.

It has been a great base before putting makeup on and given I only need to put it over areas of concern, I only use a very small amount each day.

Let me know if you would like to see a more in depth review of any of these products.

Hope you liked this post.

All my love,
