CHRISTMAS WRAPPING | A BLACK AND GOLD CHRISTMAS

It's time to bring a bit of Christmas cheer to the blog!! I have been a bit behind this festive season and have to shamefully admit that we haven't even put up our Christmas tree yet (I know, shocking!!) I think I have been too focused on 'How is it December already!?'. So I thought I would pull out my Christmas wrapping from last year to inspire you as well as myself!

Christmas is definitely my most favourite holiday of the year. I get so excited over beautiful Christmas decorations, lights, displays, carols and all things festive!

Christmas decorating is one of my favourite parts of the season, especially my Christmas tree & presents! I try and put as much thought into the wrapping as I do the present in hope to excite the receiver even before they open their gift.
I absolutely love a gold Christmas theme. It always looks so elegant ans beautiful. When sticking to one main colour I like to try and get a few different varieties of the colour to add a bit of texture.

For the presents above, when it came to purchasing papers and ribbon I didn't have a set idea of what I wanted and I think that made it work better as I was inspired as I went. I got everything from different stores so will list below where I got what:
  • Metallic gold paper - Harris Scarfe
  • Gold & white geometric print - Earthborn Home Wares
  • Black & white stripe - The Reject Shop
  • Gold 'Merry Christmas' print - Woolworths
  • Brown paper - Discount Store
  • Gold spot round box - The Reject Shop
  • Black ribbons - Discount Store
  • Gold present bow - The Reject Shop
  • Thick gold mesh ribbon - Discount Store
  • Gold metallic ribbon - The Reject Shop
I am always on the look for pretty wrapping so picked up some of this stuff during the year but most of it came out around Christmas time ( if you are organised, boxing day is a great time to get wraps and decorations for the next year).

If you look at the present at the back (behind the standing reindeer) on the right side, you will see I did also get a bit creative and took a gold sharpie to some brown paper! I thought this turned out pretty cute!

Hope you liked this post.

All my love,

  1. Oh my god this is gift wrapping porn at it's finest, I love giving gifts and I actually love wrapping them too and putting a lot of thought into that, so these pictures are major eye candy for me!
